Harp Fusion
Little Gold Canyon coughed it up again: an excellent concert of 14 harpists, playing more-or-less in unison. The group is called "Harp Fusion," and is from the tutelage of a harp professor at Arizona State University in Tucson. The members, all students, have won awards in contests literally around the world, and the group itself performs in many foreign countries. The teacher has been playing since age 4, teaching for 27 years, and is obviously as much in love with the harp as when she began. Enthusiasm tells. They performed this evening at the Methodist Church, same venue as for the last entry: the Mac Frampton concert.
Meanwhile, we remain busy-busy-busy. So much so that a quiet day to "do what I want" is an oddity---almost like it was back in the "w" (work) days. Today I had such a day: I used it to try to figure out the opacity of a new DVD producing program. If I had a dozen days stretched back-to-back, I might have some chance of learning the new Adobe "trio" of video editing programs. It's surprisingly cold here for the last 3 days/nights: "winter" is not just a distant concept here in the desert.
